OSS COMPASS Privacy Policy

OSS Compass is provided by OSCHINA ("Shenzhen AOSI Network Technology Co.ltd" or "we/us") and we are committed to protecting the privacy of the user of our services and our website ("You/r"). This Privacy Policy is part of the OSS Compass Terms of Use and explains our practices regarding the use of personal data collected and processed through our services and website. Defined terms set out herein shall have the same meaning as in OSS Compass Terms of Use of which it forms part.

By accessing or using the Website in any form and in particular, by sending your data in a contact or registration form, you agree to be bound by these Privacy Policy. If you do not accept any term of these Privacy Policy, then you may not access the Website or use our services.

The entity responsible for processing the data in the OSS Compass website or through our services is Shenzhen AOSI Network Technology Co.ltd, located at No. 136, Zhongkang Road, Futian District, Shenzhen (19th Floor, Building 4, Shenzhen New Generation Industrial Park). PERSONAL DATA​

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT​

Log-in data: You must necessarily access the platform through the Gitee, GitHub portals of your choice by entering your credentials. When you access our services using third party credentials (Gitee, GitHub), we will import your information from any of these third parties to create an account on our service.

These data are mandatory and if they are not provided we cannot contact you and respond to your requests.

  • Newsletter. If you want to subscribe to receive our newsletter, your email address will be collected in our webform "Join the newsletter" in order to send you the latest news about our Service.
  • Give us feedback: if you would like to give us feedback about our services, you will need to sign in to your Gitee/GitHub account by entering your email and password or through any of the other providers listed (Gitee, Github)

OSS Compass automatically collects data regarding your browsing of the website, such as your IP address, the browser you are using, the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave the site.

DATA COLLECTED AS DATA PROCESSOR​

The personal data which may be generated during the course of services provided by OSS Compass website services will be processed by us as a Data Processor. Under no circumstances the personal data of third parties resulting from our analysis services will be disclosed.

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide to us and you are expected to update any information you provide us with.

MARKETING CHOICES​

You may opt out of or withdraw your consent to receive direct marketing emails from us by using the unsubscribe or opt out mechanisms included in our marketing emails or by emailing compass-service@gitee.com.
